(Brussels, Belgium) – – – Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) has launched a new redesigned, user-centric website. The website, www.kdigo.org, offers an intuitive experience with modern branding and an updated interface, providing enhanced functionality for clinicians and patients.

The site has been re-engineered to emphasize ease-of-use and navigability. It focuses on what users need most: access to guidelines, Controversies Conference reports and implementation tools, and information on global implementation activities. The website provides all published guideline recommendations and conference reports, tools, slide sets, speaker’s guides, news and social media feedback opportunities.

“Our motivation was to create a more user-friendly site, making it easier for people around the world to put our recommendations to use in the treatment of patients. We don’t publish our work just to see it in print.”

“Our motivation was to create a more user-friendly site, making it easier for people around the world to put our recommendations to use in the treatment of patients. We don’t publish our work just to see it in print,” said Tanya Green, KDIGO Communications Director, who spearheaded the project. “We publish to make the latest science easily accessible and useable so clinicians can make better decisions.”

Green added, “This wasn’t just a website redesign, but rather a meticulous effort to provide a go-to resource for nephrologists and practitioners worldwide. We translate global science into practical recommendations and observations for use in every day medical practice.” The new site was custom built by NYC-based Capitol Foundry, a firm specializing in design-driven technology.
