Rita Suri, MD, MSc
Dr. Suri is an Associate Professor and Director of the Division of Nephrology at McGill University, and holds the Catherine MacLaughlin Hakim Chair in Medicine for excellence in research.
She is nationally recognized for leadership in hemodialysis research, network development, and teaching. She maintains an active clinical practice where she cares for numerous patients with chronic and end-stage kidney disease, and helps them access opportunities to participate in clinical research studies. She has authored many publications and book chapters, and has served on multiple national and international guideline panels. She founded the Canadian Nephrology Trials Network and remains on its Executive Board.
Her other leadership roles include: Chair of the CIHR Randomized Controlled Trials panel, and Chair of the Canadian Society of Nephrology Scientific Committee. She is now honored to serve as an Executive Member of the Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes group.
