KDIGO APOL1 Kidney Disease Controversies Conference Scope of Work Available for Public Review Through March 25

KDIGO cordially invites you to share your feedback on the Scope of Work for the KDIGO Controversies Conference on APOL1 Kidney Disease. The conference will take place in Accra, Ghana in April 2024, and will be co-chaired by Akinlolu (“Ojo”) Ojo, MD (University of Kansas School of Medicine, United States ) and Ifeoma Ulasi, MD (University of Nigeria College of Medicine, Nigeria). KDIGO makes preliminary Scope of Work documents available for public review prior to final planning of any Controversies Conference.

This conference will bring together key thought leaders and stakeholders, including patients, experts in nephrology and other related disciplines, such as nephropathology, genetics, epidemiologists, ethics, immunology, pharma, and social work to comprehensively review the literature and current state of understanding in this area, and to address clinical issues. The conference output will include the publication of a position statement that will help guide KDIGO and others on therapeutic management and future research in APOL1 kidney disease.

The Scope of Work and feedback survey can be found on the conference website. Kindly submit your comments via the feedback survey no later than Monday, March 25.
