KDIGO cordially invites you to share your feedback on the Scope of Work (SOW) for the KDIGO Controversies Conference on Kidney Disease and Heart Failure: Recent Advances and Current Challenges. The conference will take place in Vancouver, Canada in March 2024, and will be co-chaired by Nisha Bansal, MD (University of Washington, United States) and Carolyn Lam, MD (National Heart Centre Singapore and Duke-National University of Singapore, Singapore).
This highly interactive conference will bring together key thought leaders and relevant stakeholders in nephrology, cardiology, and other related disciplines, as well as patients and caregivers, who will comprehensively review the literature and current state of understanding in this area and address clinical issues and controversies. The format of the conference will involve topical plenary session presentations followed by focused breakout groups that will report back to the full group for consensus building. Four breakout groups will address pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and clinical trials for patients with heart failure and kidney disease. Each group will cover all types of heart failure as well as all stages of kidney disease. The conference output will include the publication of a conference report that will help guide KDIGO and others on therapeutic management and future research.
The SOW and feedback survey can be found on the conference website. Kindly submit your comments via the feedback survey no later than Wednesday, February 21.
