KDIGO recently updated its Hepatitis C Guideline and is actively working to bring the latest recommendations to clinicians around the world, including physicians who care for patients in Asia. As such, KDIGO held a Hepatitis C in CKD Implementation Summit which brought together thought leaders from across the region.
The Hep C Implementation Summit was held at the Hyatt Regency Sha Tin Hotel in Hong Kong from May 31 to June 2, 2019. The summit included a Town Hall on June 1 with multiple plenary presentations. This was followed on June 2 by structured and moderated discussions of the medical landscape for hepatitis C in Asia, the economic and regulatory situations, and strategies for overcoming barriers to better care. The group also identified next steps in implementation of the updated KDIGO Hep C Guideline.
The KDIGO Hepatitis C in CKD Implementation Summit was co-chaired by Michel Jadoul of the Université Catholique de Louvain, and Philip K.T. Li of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
