Meeting Venue & Agenda
The KDIGO Asia-Pacific Implementation Summit on Diabetes & Blood Pressure in CKD will take place at The Majestic Hotel from Saturday, January 20 to Sunday, January 21, 2024. As per the agenda in the Resources section, the meeting will begin on Saturday morning, January 20 at 08:30 hrs. A group dinner is planned for Saturday evening, and spouses, sponsors, and guests are welcome to attend. We will wrap up on Sunday, January 21 at 17:00 hrs.

Malaysia Digital Arrival Card Requirement (MDAC)
Please note that effective January 1, 2024, all foreign nationals entering Malaysia need to complete and submit a Malaysia Digital Arrival Card Requirement (MDAC). The application can be submitted online as early as three days prior to one’s arrival date in Malaysia. You will need to provide personal details including passport information, flight details, and address in Malaysia.
Room Reservations
KDIGO has secured a room block at The Majestic Hotel, so there is no need for you to contact the hotel directly. If you have not done so already, kindly send in your itinerary once travel has been booked. Please also be sure to let KDIGO know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, visa requirements, or if a guest will be accompanying you. If you have already provided your travel details, your room is reserved accordingly at The Majestic Hotel, and a confirmation number will be provided a week or so prior to the summit.
Airport Transfers
Airport transfers are not pre-arranged by KDIGO. Taxis are readily available at Kuala Lumpur Airport and offer a convenient option for transportation to and from The Majestic Hotel. KL taxis should accept credit cards, but it’s best to double check with the driver before beginning your journey and having cash with you just in case. Airport taxis operate through a coupon system that can be purchased in the International Arrival Hall (just after Customs, before the public arrival area). Reimbursements
The KDIGO Travel Protocol & Reimbursement Form is included in the Resources section to help facilitate your planning and booking for this trip. As noted, KDIGO will reimburse attendees for standard economy class plane tickets and other conference-related expenses after the meeting concludes. Should your standard economy airfare exceed USD $2000.00, please contact KDIGO for approval. KDIGO will cover accommodation costs directly, however hotel incidentals such as minibar or laundry will need to be paid for personally.
Sponsor participants cover all expenses personally, including accommodation and airfare.
