KDIGO convened a Controversies Conference on Complement-Mediated Kidney Diseases: Atypical HUS and C3 Glomerulopathy / Immunoglobulin-Associated MPGN in April 2026. This meeting built upon the findings from the 2022 Controversies Conference on the Role of Complement in Kidney Disease and the first Controversies Conference on Complement-Mediated Kidney Diseases, held in 2015.
Dr. Fadi Fakhouri (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois et Université de Lausanne, Switzerland) and Dr. Marina Vivarelli (Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital IRCCS, Italy) co-chaired this Controversies Conference.
