The KDIGO Workshop on Kidney Transplantation in Africa brought together key stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities in kidney disease management in Africa, with a focus on kidney transplantation. To expand access to transplantation in Africa, the ISN Sister Centers and Active Centers working with Tokushukai Medical Group shared a blueprint for successful centers, including best practices and success stories.

This 1-day workshop was co-chaired by Sumi Hidaka (Shonan Kamakura General Hospital, Japan), Aggrey Mweemba (University Teaching Hospital Lusaka Adult Hospital, Zambia), and Martin Zeier (University of Heidelberg, Germany).
