The KDIGO Workshop on Implementation and Expansion of Home Hemodialysis (HHD) in East Asia: A Focus on Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan was a collaborative effort with the 2025 ISHD and JSHHD Joint Meeting on Home Hemodialysis and builds upon the findings of the KDIGO Controversies Conference on Home Dialysis held in May 2021.

This 1-day workshop focused on creating a strategic framework for expanding home hemodialysis in four key East Asian regions: Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, and Korea. It gathered regional experts, including nephrologists, nurses, and patients, and was co-chaired by Dr. Ikuto Masakane (Japan), and Dr. Chistopher Chan (Canada).
