The Scope of Work (SOW) for the KDIGO Controversies Conference on Complement-Mediated Kidney Diseases: Atypical HUS (aHUS) and C3 Glomerulopathy (C3G)/ Immunoglobulin-Associated MPGN (Ig-MPGN) is open for public comment through Monday, February 16. KDIGO seeks public input on every conference SOW to ensure each meeting and its output are as helpful and impactful as possible for clinicians and patients.

This conference, co-chaired by Fadi Fakhouri, MD (Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois et Université de Lausanne, Switzerland), and Marina Vivarelli, MD (Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital IRCCS, Italy), will take place in Rome, Italy, in April 2026. The conference will build on the findings from the 2022 Controversies Conference on the Role of Complement in Kidney Disease and the 2015 Controversies Conference on Complement-Mediated Kidney Diseases.
